Child Hunger and Food Insecurity impacts thousands of children in Michigan
Food insecurity remains a chronic problem in Michigan, despite the efforts of many dedicated organizations and agencies. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, almost 1.3 million Michiganders faced food insecurity. That number has now risen to about 1.9 million. Over 552,400 of those hungry Michiganders are children. (Food Security Council, 10/2020.)
HOPE CHURCH is proud to join many other United Methodist Churches in the Michigan Area for this worthy cause.
COME! WALK – RUN – or BIKE 5k
We’ll start outside our Chapel, June 6 at 1:30 pm, travel South on Lahser Rd. to Emmanuel Lutheran Church (our partner, exactly 2.5k away), then return to Hope.
Hundreds of members of our community are invited to come join in this effort!
