To pre-register text “WH Cares” to 4-8355 to complete a pre-intake form. If a person does not have a cell phone, a test team member will be available to help them at the site. The goal is to test as many people as possible.
“It is well known that communities of color, and those persons with limited access to health care, are disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Rev. Cindy Rudolph, senior pastor of Oak Grove AME Church. “In addition,” she stated, “with the number of people out of work, health insurance may be reduced or nonexistent. Accessibility to all health care options is important.” The goal of this event is to provide timely testing to reduce the transmission of the virus especially after the Thanksgiving holiday.
The drive-through COVID-19 testing is free to everyone, regardless of insurance, ability to pay, or whether they have symptoms or not. There is no up-front cost for testing and patients do not need medical insurance or government-issued identification to get tested. This is an opportunity that should not be missed.
