This event is a fundraiser for the Project Upward Bound Scholarship fund. There is no charge to attend the event, however a free will offering taken to support the scholarship.

Ms. Winans will be the final performance on a program that opens with the Project Upward Bound Gospel Choir. In between are presented local choirs and other singers, a mime troupe, praise dancers, and PUB Scholars performing a drill team routine.

Local churches represented include Antioch Missionary Baptist, Trinity Missionary Baptist, New Bethel Baptist Church, and St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church.

Former Pontiac Mayor Willie Payne is on the planning committee and will be presiding over the offering that will be collected for the scholarship fund.
