JaiWAN is the newest Christian artist poised to take the music world by storm. With undeniable natural talent, charm, and a heart for true ministry, JaiWAN has exactly what the industry has been longing for. He has been compared with artist such as Brandy, J Moss and Marcus Cole; yet he has maintained a unique and exciting sound of his own. Having shared the stage with some of Gospel Music’s biggest stars including Lexi, Antwaun Stanley and The Winans, JaiWAN’s performances across the United States and internationally have already blazed a path for his success in the industry.
JaiWAN has been a featured performer on CTN, TCT and other television networks; most recently he has been wowing audiences at various showcases including the EMI Gospel Industry Night and the I Hear Music in the Air conference. Now, with his debut release appropriately titled ‘Relationships,’ (INTERVENTION Records/Worldwide Music/KOCH Entertainment) scheduled for release in November 2007, JaiWAN brings to center stage his incredible arsenal of vocal acrobatics and heart touching lyrics. JaiWAN conveys a positive message about real-life situations with lyrics that both heal and inspire. To put the message to music, JaiWAN has enlisted a set of music’s top writers and producers whose work can be heard on the projects of superstars from the likes of Chris Brown to Kirk Franklin. Most notably producers Randy Scott (Rance Allen, the Clark Sisters, Vickie Winans, Anita Baker), Tha Stuntmen (J. Moss, Kierra ‘Kiki’ Sheard, Darlene McCoy), and writers Anesha and Antea Birchett of DarkChild Records (Beyonce, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Tamia, Usher) contributed stellar songs to the project. His first single ‘Dance’ is heating up the airways across the country, and, in his hometown of Detroit, ‘Dance’ was named “Jam of the Week” for an entire month.
After a life changing car accident that left JaiWAN with both legs completely broken and onlookers declaring “no survivors,” it is no surprise that he has decided to reach out to others in a real way. JaiWAN is on a mission to share the lessons he has learned about life, love and relationships with the world through the gift of music. The tragic accident was a true turning point for this up and coming artist and now, after five surgeries and three weeks confined to a hospital bed, JaiWAN is a new man with a new walk. He has a renewed vigor and a fresh testimony. After experiencing months of constant and excruciating pain, there is a compassion that can only come from experience.
Currently serving as the youth and music minister at Good Fight of Faith Church, JaiWAN is walking in the manifestation of his ordained footsteps and has been teaching the Word of God in churches around the world to youth and adults alike. JaiWAN is reaching outside of the traditional church demographic touching the lives of those who never thought God was for them. With positive, true to life messages set to popular beats, JaiWAN is making a mark that will change a generation.
The powerful ministry Christ has entrusted to JaiWAN is geared toward sharing the gospel, in its entirety, with the world. He believes that the world is looking for something tangible, along with the word, which is a touch from God. JaiWAN passionately desires to bring a healing God to a hurting world and says, “God wants to be a part of our life outside of the church building, so why can’t gospel music deal with natural love and relationships as well as with God’s love. My music touches every part of life. It’s for everyone.”
