Jamel Strong is an ordained minister, singer and songwriter. He sang his first solo at the age of six and has been singing ever since. As a teenager, he recorded professionally on album produced by Ben Tankard and released on Tribute Records. Since then he’s been guest featured on several Billboard charting projects including, Dr. Leonard Scott’s LIVE In Birmingham (He Is Lord) and Oakwood University’s Dynamic Praise Choir of Oakwood University (God Restores).
Jehovah Reigns the debut single for his forthcoming album will undoubtedly position Jamel as one of the nation’s newest breed of worship leaders and songwriters. His strong and powerful, yet smooth vocals are reminiscent of John P. Kee, Byron Cage and in some instances, the late Donny Hathaway.
