RADIO ONE DETROIT NAMES MILDRED GADDIS AS
THE NEW COMMUNITY AFFAIRS DIRECTOR AND ANNOUNCES PLAN TO LAUNCH THE NEW DETROIT PRAISE NETWORK
Detroit, MI – Effective Monday, July 30, 2018 – Mildred Gaddis, host of the iconic Mildred Gaddis Show has been named Community Affairs Director for all Radio One Detroit stations. As Community Affairs Director she will be responsible for all Community outreach on Hot 107.5, WGPR, Kiss 105.9, WDMK and the brand new Detroit Praise Network airing on 93.5, 98.3 and 99.9 FM. The new Detroit Praise Network will replace WPZR, 102.7 sold to EMF. As part of that transaction, Radio One acquired 93.5 and 98.3 from EMF and plans to marry them with our existing 99.9 to build the new Detroit Praise Network.
Ms. Gaddis, who has just commemorated 40 years in radio, is looking forward to her new role. “Mildred Gaddis has played a critical role in community matters in Detroit for many years. The company wants to tap further into the unique perspective Mildred brings to our listeners by having her lead all our Community Affairs efforts both on and off the air.” said Kathy Stinehour, Vice President and General Manager of Radio One Detroit. Radio One is making a considerable investment to upgrade the signals of the new Detroit Praise Network over the coming months.

The Mildred Gaddis show is moving to Sundays 8am-10am on Kiss 105.9, WDMK effective Sunday August 12. The Detroit Praise Network on air lineup is 6am-10am Erica Campbell, 10am-3pm, Randi Myles, 3pm-7pm Willie Moore Jr., 7pm-11pm Darlene McCoy.
