DG.com: Were there any challenges to overcome with your new project.
Ernest J. Lee: Being that I hadn’t released a full project since 2006, I questioned whether I could still get it done!!! Well, one day driving back to Atlanta, where I now reside, to Detroit, I felt that God was letting me know that indeed I was NOT done! I went to work, not really knowing the direction, I then decided on a project that would showcase me as a Writer, Producer, Singer, & Artist! I wanted to show my versatility and depth. I believe that Anthems From The Vault Vol 1 truly shows my growth as a Person, Musician, Producer, & MAN! I appreciate ALL that God has done and IS yet doing!!!
DG.com: Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?
Ernest J. Lee: Stay TRUE to YOU! There is NO wrong way to be YOU! LEARN the Business of music and surround yourself with the correct team that can push you forward! Instead of DEAL searching, BUILD YOUR BRAND! Stay committed to your vision and make achievable goals that you can go after with realistic expectations! It’s a Marathon NOT a sprint, TAKE YOUR TIME!
