Anything you’d like to share about the project or the

process: The Project is a collection of songs that talk about a passionate relationship with God. They talk about the goodness of God and puts the listener in a good place to reflect about the character of God and how much you love Him. I thought it was important to be a voice that would shout it as loud as I could about how much God loves me and how good He is to us in a day. We all have a voice, and it’s up to us who the Lord has redeemed to speak louder than all of the problems we face from day to day. There is an answer, and we have found that answer in Jesus who ALWAYS causes us to triumph! I have experienced some real low days, but I had to realize how to sing, and speak the Word of God over my situation and watch the glory of God be manifested in my life. My father, Bishop Steven Bennett, Sr., passed in February and it was the hardest thing I had to face so far in life, and it has been songs like Holding On, Voice of Triumph, Right Here Right Now, and Great God that have ministered to me and pushed me through another day.

Challenges that had to be overcome:  My mentor told me dates determine destiny! I set a specific date for the project to be completed and there was nothing that would hinder that progress because my mind was fixed on this date. Sure I had money issues, producers issues, contract issues and even my issues, [but] my mind was determined to finish what God had put in my heart. Nothing could stop that. At the lowest point during the process I wanted to give up after I lost my distribution deal with a major record label, but I made a promise to myself and I made a vow to the Lord that I would be a good steward of the gifts he had given me, so I had to keep going and I was able to do what I thought I could not do. God is good, I was becoming “The Voice of Triumph.”

Advice for Aspiring Artists:
Do what God has put in your heart to do no matter the

opposition. Work hard and waste no time telling others about the goodness of God.

Recording a song has to be bigger than selling downloads; it must be a calling to help

inspire, minister, and bless another life. Don’t ever get that twisted. Colossians 3:23 tells

us whatever you do, work heartily, as for the lord knowing that from the LORD you will

receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
