Watch Video of “Be Alright”:
The female gospel group, ANOINTED FRIENDS (also known as “Friends”), was founded by Roz Thompson, and consists of four powerhouse singers; Roz Thompson, Brittany Dawson, Tiffani McCutchen, and Tyeshia Reels, as well as a 5 person band. Their sound might best be described as “contemporary quartet,” and although they hail from Paterson, New Jersey, true to their name, they have anointed friends and family from many places including the Detroit area.

Specifically, Roz’s cousin, Bishop Johnny Brice of Johnny Brice ministries, enthusiastically endorses Anointed Friends and shared the following message to the DetroitGospel.com audience:
“It is my pleasure to recommend this powerful house wrecking and anointed singing aggregation from Paterson, New Jersey.
I lived in Detroit, MI for 30 years and being that Detroit has been called the “Gospel Capital,” I recognize good music…”
On March 16, 2021, Anointed Friends released their first single entitled, “Be Alright,” which is available on Amazon Music, iTunes, Pandora, GooglePlay and Spotify. The song reflects on the current times of pandemic and social upheaval, and encourages us all with the message that it’s going to “Be Alright.” Roz shared that, “Despite the all of the challenges during this world-wide pandemic, GOD is and has been so good to us. We are alive and that is enough!”
When asked whether the group encountered any challenges to completing or releasing the project, Roz admitted, “I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning trying to upload the photo to complete the project. I had NO issues with the music file, however, that photo issue almost had me in tears pulling my hair out.”
Roz also had the following advice for aspiring artists, “Denied may mean delayed !! Don’t give in.”
The group is currently working on more projects for the release of their first album.
