This month’s Spotlight Artist: Christina Benjamin
Everyone knows that great cars and great singers come out of Detroit. January’s Spotlight Artist, Christina Benjamin, is a graduate of Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts, and her new single, Give Me Your Heart was released earlier this month.
Christina’s advice for aspiring artists: “Stay in your own lane. Own your uniqueness. Be yourself. People will value you more when you own who you are. Believe in your talent and what God has placed in you. Don’t take no for an answer. “No” just means find another door. But more importantly, believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

Mary Wynn’s Great Things releases on Feb. 9th
Another former Spotlight Artist, Mary Wynn, has a new project, Great Things, scheduled for release on February 9th, her birthday! Mary holds a degree in Vocal Music Education from Wayne State & currently serves as Minister of Music for Scott Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mary’s advice for aspiring artists is to make sure that the quality of your work is stellar. She may not have the budget of a major artist, but she makes sure that her projects are comparable. Mary says, “God gave us His all,” and she strives to give Him and His people her all, realizing that it’s not about her, but it’s about being a vessel that God can use for His glory.
