Detroiter, Mary Wynn, Set to be Honored at Allstate Gospel Superfest

December 8, 2009.  Cincinnati, OH: United Television the producers of The Allstate Gospel Superfest, presented by P&G proudly announce its 2010 award recipients for its upcoming TV taping… Hit making recording artist Hezekiah Walker will receive the prestigious Allstate Gospel Superfest Lifetime Achievement Award. This commemorating Bishop Walker’s twenty-five year career in inspirational entertainment and ministry. Past recipients of the award include, Candi Staton, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Dorothy Norwood, The Williams Brothers, Mom & Pop Winans and Vanessa Bell Armstrong.

Bishop Walker, who is also a Grammy Award Winner, will join an elite class of artists and ministers who have previously received the award. ‘We try to seek out artists and entertainment professionals whose music and lives have made a positive and significant impact on us (the producers) and the industry fan base over the years. And Bishop Walker has touched many of us with his unique and diverse approach to choir, ministry and gospel music.” states, Dr. Bobby Cartwright, Jr. the show’s founder and executive producer.

This year Gospel Superfest will also introduce its Horizon Award, where it will honor songstress, Mary Wynn of Detroit, as one of the nation’s most promising new voices.

The Allstate Gospel Superfest will record its tenth consecutive season for multiple cable and TV networks and domestic syndication on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the campus of Xavier University. The event will feature thirty national acts including, Richard Smallwood, J. J. Hairston, Jason Nelson, Ki Ki Sheard, The Whispers, Shirley Murdock, J. Moss, 21:03, Dorinda Clark Cole, James Jackson & Atlanta Praise, Tonya Baker, Karen Clark Sheard, Ricky Dillard & New G, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, James Fortune, Regina Belle, The CCC Step Team of Brooklyn, NY, Vicky Winans, Professor Wilbur Belton & The Ladweg Choir, Ernest Pugh and many others.
