Gene Dunlap & Friends
In Concert at The Historic People’s Community Church  
DETROIT – Musician Gene Dunlap and his Gene Dunlap & Friends will perform an evening of jazz in concert at the Historic People’s Community Church as part of the church’s 61st Anniversary Celebration.
 
The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in the church’s Gertrude Banks Social Hall.  

The Detroit born drummer and Grammy nominated recording artist has performed with artists such as Earl Klugh, Roy Ayres, George Benson, Grant Green and Mary Wilson.
 
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or by calling the church’s  office at 313-871-4676.
 
The Historic People’s Community Church is located at 8601 Woodward Ave., at Pingree and just north of the New Center Area. The Rev. Dr. Charles Edward Clark, Jr., is the Senior Pastor of Historic People’s Community Church. Carolyn Nichols is the chairperson of the 61st Anniversary Committee.
