Good Medicine Development
presents
The Frances Louise
ORATORICAL COMPETITION

Beginning in the month of February 2020, Good Medicine Development (GMD) will host the first France Louise Oratorical Competition. The competition is open to young people currently attending junior high or high school in the metro Detroit area. The event is free and open to the public. Participation in the program provides our youth with the opportunity to experience the art of public speaking while learning about a topic relevant to their lives.

This year’s topic is:
“Enough is Enough”
It’s time to address gun violence among youth in the city of Detroit!

This topic allows our participants the opportunity to voice their opinion and/or suggestions on this ongoing horrible epidemic that we face in our city. Our top finalists will have a group workshop to help prepare them for the final round.

The top three orators are awarded a cash prize on Saturday, April 18th.
First Place: $350
Second Place: $200
Third Place: $100
