DG.com: Would you like to share any “Fun Facts” related to the new project.
Dameon Brown: Calvary is comprised of some of our world’s greatest gifts. None of these musicians or singers recorded there instruments or sang together! I just cast the vision as the producer and the music was recorded in 8 different studios across the country! To see the chemistry that ensued causes me to stand in awe of God! He gets the glory and all credit for causing Calvary to morph into what it has become!
DG.com: Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?
Dameon Brown: Proverbs 19:21 (NIV) says, ‘Many are the plans in a persons heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.’ Bursting with zeal and frustrated in the midst of God processing me, I ran into Kurt Carr. After sharing my angst with Kurt he quickly stopped me and imparted, “Young man songs are for a certain season and when God gets ready, He will cause His will to take over in your life!” Things got worse and another 5 years went by, but that’s exactly what happened! God just blew on our ministry and caused His purpose to prevail. So my advice is simple. Be anxious for nothing (Phil. 4:6), be sure of your calling, wait on the Lord, and watch his purpose prevail in your life and ministry!
