June 29th, Richard Smallwood releases his 15th album, ANTHOLOGY LIVE. In addition to his 20-member ensemble, Vision, R&B singer Angela Winbush makes a guest appearance on the project.

26th, Martha Munizzi recorded her 7th album live at her sister, Mary
Alessi’s, church in Miami. This is Munizzi’s first live recording in 5
years and she has teamed up once again with Israel Houghton as producer.
Three of Munizzi’s children are also featured on the project.

Closer
to home, Detroit’s own Karen Clark Sheard’s new album, “Destined to
Win,” produced by Donald Lawrence, hits stores July 17th. This is
Karen’s 6th solo project and any one pre-ordering for only $7.99 on iTunes gets instant downloads of the singles “My Words Have Power,” which features Donald Lawrence & The Co., and the Grammy nominated “Sunday A.M.” Other guest artists on the project include J. Drew Sheard II and Faith Evans.

Karen’s daughter, Kierra, is busy with her own thing, a new plus-size clothing line called “Eleven60.”
Kierra says that it is a clothing line designed to compliment the
“thick woman.” Kierra describes herself as a “full figured woman” and
admits that it has been hard to find quality high fashion trends in her
size. Eleven60 offers stylish, yet affordable apparel for a modern, plus
size woman. Kierra says, “No more skimpy clothes…and no more
muumuus!”
